On 16 and 17 August 2025, we attended the Double CACIB in Ludwigshafen with our English Mastiff females Greta from Gawy and Miss Marple from the Celtic Mountain. Despite the very hot temperatures, both of our girls presented themselves beautifully and achieved some excellent results.
Greta from Gawy Impresses in the Junior Class
Greta from Gawy competed in the Junior Class on both days and remained focused and composed despite the intense heat. On Saturday, 16 August 2025, she was judged by Dr Roberto Schill and received an Excellent 1st (V1), CACJ, CACIB-J and Junior BOB.
On Sunday, 17 August 2025, Greta confirmed her strong performance. Under judge Stefan Wächter, she once again received an Excellent 1st (V1), CACJ, CACIB-J and Junior BOB. She therefore impressed on both show days with consistently strong results.
Miss Marple in the Open Class
Miss Marple from the Celtic Mountain also competed at the Double CACIB in Ludwigshafen, entering the Open Class. On Sunday, 17 August 2025, she presented herself beautifully under judge Stefan Wächter and received an Excellent 2nd (V2) as well as Res. CAC.
A Hot but Successful Show Weekend
The high temperatures made this a demanding weekend for both the dogs and their handlers. We were therefore all the more pleased with how calmly and reliably Greta and Miss Marple presented themselves in the show ring. Alongside their excellent results, we will also remember the time spent together and the many lovely encounters around the ring.
Proud of Our Two Girls
We are very proud of Greta and Miss Marple and delighted with their performances at the Double CACIB in Ludwigshafen. Greta impressed in the Junior Class on both days, while Miss Marple rounded off the weekend on Sunday with a very good result in the Open Class.
