From 24 to 26 May 2024, Messe Dortmund became a meeting place for dog enthusiasts and exhibitors from numerous countries as part of the “Dogs & Fun” event. With the VDH Spring Winner Show and the VDH European Winner Show, two major competitions were held during the weekend.
Our littermates Magnus from the Celtic Mountain and Miss Marple from the Celtic Mountain represented our kennel at the shows. Both achieved excellent results over the weekend: Magnus secured important championship qualifications and two special titles, while Miss Marple impressed with excellent ratings and strong placements.
VDH Spring Winner Show – 24 May 2024
Spring Winner and BOS for Magnus
Magnus competed in the Intermediate Class and was awarded Excellent 1st (V1) under judge Thomas Becht. He was also awarded the FCI-CACIB, a German Champion VDH qualification and the Club CAC.
With Best of Opposite Sex (BOS) and the Frühjahrssieger 2024 title, Magnus enjoyed an outstanding start to the show weekend in Dortmund.
Strong Result for Miss Marple
Miss Marple was also presented to judge Thomas Becht on Friday. Competing in the Intermediate Class, she received an Excellent 1st (V1) and was awarded the FCI Reserve CACIB.
Her result added another valuable achievement for our kennel to the successful start already made by her litter brother Magnus.
VDH European Winner Show – 26 May 2024
VDH Europa-Jugendsieger 2024: A Second Title for Magnus
On Sunday, Magnus competed in the Junior Class at the VDH European Winner Show. With an Excellent 1st (V1) rating, he secured the prestigious VDH-Europa-Jugendsieger 2024 title (VDH European Junior Winner 2024).
Following his success at the Spring Winner Show on Friday, this was Magnus’s second major title within a single weekend – and another milestone on his way towards becoming an International Junior Champion.
Miss Marple Secures Important Championship Qualifications
Miss Marple also confirmed her strong form. Under judge Anton Spindler, she once again took first place in the Intermediate Class with an Excellent 1st (V1).
She was also awarded the following championship qualifications:
- FCI Reserve CACIB
- German Champion VDH qualification
- Club CAC
Following her Reserve CACIB on Friday, Miss Marple was therefore able to add significantly to her achievements over the weekend. We were particularly pleased with her composed manner: despite the lively atmosphere inside the Dortmund exhibition halls, she remained calm and focused.
A Special Weekend for Our Littermates
Dortmund 2024 was far more than just another stop on the show calendar for Magnus and Miss Marple. Over the course of the weekend, the two littermates demonstrated how promisingly they had developed – each in their own way.
Magnus returned home with the titles VDH-Frühjahrs-Jugendsieger 2024 (VDH Spring Junior Winner 2024) and VDH-Europa-Jugendsieger 2024 (VDH European Junior Winner 2024). Miss Marple achieved Excellent 1st (V1) on both days, received the FCI Reserve CACIB twice and secured valuable championship qualifications for her future show career.
Just as special as the results was the opportunity to experience the weekend with both of them together. As littermates, they share not only their pedigree, but also their balanced temperaments and close bonds with their people.
We would like to thank the judges for their thoughtful assessments, as well as everyone who accompanied and supported us in Dortmund. This weekend will always hold a special place in our memories.
